About the event
Hounds & Houses: Paws for Property is a community fundraiser hosted by the Realtist of Metropolitan St. Louis, bringing together families, pet lovers, and housing advocates for a day of fun and purpose. Taking place on August 15, 2026, the event features:
a dog walk (1.4 miles around Spanish Lake Park)
pet costume contest
adoptable pets
and a Homeownership Resource Village
Beyond the fun, the event highlights the importance of safe, stable, and equitable housing for all families. Rooted in NAREB’s mission of Democracy in Housing, it focuses on increasing access to homeownership and financial education in our community. Attendees will have access to a Homeownership Resource Village with tools and professionals to support their journey to ownership. The event also recognizes that pets are part of the family, and stable housing helps keep families whole. Proceeds will support housing education, youth programs, and pathways to generational wealth.
